Hotel Trimoorti in Kolkata- Day 2

Believe it or not, the hotel is definitely not 10 km from the airport as claimed by the hotel personnel and the website info. The journey was nearly one hour, that too in the wee hours when no traffic was there! While booking the hotel, Saji had found that Hotel Trimoorti is one of the popular names among the budget hotels in Kolkata. It offers comfortable accommodation and best of the facilities for budget conscious travellers.

It was a big relief to find the hotel. The room was small and neatly kept. It had AC, TV and telephone, besides being furnished with a sofa unit and a study table as well. Tea/ coffee maker was also available and it was of no use to us, as we both don’t have the good habit of drinking Tea/coffee ;) The room had an attached washroom and to my delight there was hot water facility. The board in the reception mentioned that Internet is available on request and we didn’t use it.

In the morning, I heard a knock on the door and Vij was fast asleep and didn’t bother to check who it was. And later we realize that it was a knock from the service boy to deliver newspaper. After getting ready, we had Poori and Aloo Bhaji and waited for the cab to come and pick us for the local sight-seeing.
